Welcome to the McKinney Wysong-Joplin Eleventh Annual Young Artist Competition for high school pianists.

This event begins on Friday evening, April 17, 2009 with a dinner at the Heard-Craig historic house.

 A recital by our artist/judge will be held in the Heard-Craig Performance Center beginning at 8:00 p.m.

The remainder of the weekend is devoted to the students, with a competition that awards significant scholarships as well as a weekend of master classes, receptions and camaraderie.

We welcome Steven Glaser as our artist/judge this year and look forward to a weekend of inspiring music, educational opportunities and exciting performances from all our young artists!
